Program Requirements

Writing sample (c.20-30pp) should demonstrate skills in primary research, analysis and writing in history/related fields such as a seminar paper or thesis chapter (must upload your writing sample). Applicants in fields requiring languages other than English are encouraged to submit a sample demonstrating use of sources in those languages. Proof of English Language Proficiency (i.e. TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test) is required if your education was completed in a non-English speaking country.


Test Requirements

GRE General test is preferred for PhD applicants. Personal statement, official transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and a writing sample.
